Class Experience
This four-week seminar investigates linguistic relativity—how language structure and usage might relate to thought and perception. Lessons review historical figures (Boas, Sapir, Whorf), experimental domains like color and spatial metaphors, and methods researchers use to test whether language affects cognition, concluding with critical reflection and evaluation.
