Complete Story Building — Creative Writing Workshop

An ongoing class that explores storytelling across genres, guiding students to develop characters, plotlines, settings, dialogue, pacing, and conflict. Lessons combine short lectures, writing exercises, scene work, worldbuilding, revision practice, and opportunities for peer feedback; the course culminates with a book pitch exercise and practical guidance on presenting a story idea.

Materials needed:

The only supplies you will need for this class are your imagination and creativity. I may ask you to bring a book you have read, or there may be a book that will be required reading for a week, but this will be rare. In most cases, I will supply any reading materials that I feel you will need to help with the class and understanding the material we will be discussing.
