Class Experience
This course covers basic grammar—nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions—and how to use them to construct and extend sentences. Lessons progress from simple noun-verb sentences to adding modifiers and prepositional phrases, with instructor-led examples, fill-in-the-blank practice, and collaborative sentence construction.
Learning Outcomes
Identify basic parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions)
Write simple prepositional phrases
Construct extended sentences using learned parts of speech
Learning Needs Support
It's optional to copy the sentences. We'll be working together to select the words and construct the sentences, while I type them up in front of the children. It's all visual and verbal.
