$13.00per classSee schedule

This project-based course teaches students how to create playable 3D games in Roblox Studio using beginner-friendly Lua scripting. Over eight guided sessions, learners build obstacle courses (obbys), racing levels, towns, terrain, and themed worlds while adding interactive features like checkpoints, collectibles, NPCs, custom avatar behavior, timers, and leaderboards. Each 55-minute class balances demonstration and hands-on work: a short demo introduces the day’s tools and goals, students spend focused time building and scripting, then add gameplay elements and share a mini-project for feedback. Lessons cover terrain sculpting, object grouping, lighting and weather effects, basic game logic, and the fundamentals of sharing projects so others can play them. The class emphasizes creative design alongside technical skills. Students receive templates and code examples to learn real Lua concepts in a beginner-friendly way, and teachers support troubleshooting and iterative design. This course is suitable for learners in grades 5–8 (ages 11–14) who want to turn their Roblox ideas into playable experiences and finish the session with shareable projects and growing confidence in game design.
