Private Creative Writing: Journal-Based Storytelling (Part 1)

This five-week private course guides students through idea generation, character and setting development, vocabulary building, and story planning using journal prompts, images, and mixed-media exercises. Sessions include short writing tasks, activities, and printable resources; students may plan and record ideas in a notebook or journal and share work during class.

Materials needed:

All printable support materials will be posted in the classroom 24 hours before the start of each session.

Students may either use the printables as the basis for their writing journal, or alternatively, bring a suitable A4 size notebook or lined journal to class. Students will need access to coloring pencils/pens and drawing tools in each session.
