Class Experience

This 12-lesson program builds practical financial foundations: students explore money mindset and goal-setting, learn budgeting and saving strategies, examine basic investing, and study credit, debt and taxes. Lessons use live instruction, PowerPoint presentations, workbook activities and real-world resources such as Yahoo Finance to apply concepts.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify how money mindset and beliefs influence financial decisions.

  • Set short- and long-term financial goals and create a personal financial vision.

  • Create a basic budget and savings plan based on projected income and goals.

  • Explain basic investing concepts, including how stocks work.

  • Describe taxes and recognize responsible credit and debt concepts.
