Class Experience

Seven live sessions teach everyday money skills teens don’t usually learn in school. Topics include money mindset, needs vs. wants, building a budget (50/30/20), savings goals and compound interest, paycheck components and taxes, credit and debt basics, and an introduction to investing. Lessons use discussion, real-life examples, activities, and a final Money Blueprint project students present.

Learning Outcomes

  • Create a personal budget using the 50/30/20 framework

  • Explain saving strategies and how compound interest affects goals

  • Understand paycheck components, basic tax/deduction concepts, and credit fundamentals

  • Produce a personal Money Blueprint project demonstrating applied financial choices
