This 10-class course uses Minecraft Bedrock as an interactive setting to teach core personal finance concepts for students in grades 4 to 6. Through guided in-game activities, students learn budgeting, saving, earning, spending, and basic record-keeping while building farms, shops, and community projects. Lessons cover how scarcity and choices affect value, how to calculate returns from farming and mining, and how to set prices and run a simple shop. Students practice negotiation and bartering with peers, manage limited tools and inventories, and explore opportunity cost and efficient decision-making. The class introduces a coin-based economy so learners can earn income from jobs and sales, try different saving strategies, and compare spending choices. Team projects require students to plan and pool resources, assign roles, and create a budget for a community build. The course also introduces civic concepts such as taxes, shared infrastructure, and charitable giving to prompt reflection on fairness and community needs. Each session mixes hands-on play, short instructor demonstrations, small-group challenges, and reflection. The final session is a Marketplace Fair where students buy, sell, and reflect on what they learned. No prior finance knowledge is required. Families should note that to play together on the hosted world participants need Minecraft Bedrock and a Microsoft account; observing or participating in discussion without joining the game is also supported. This course focuses on practical, age-appropriate financial skills delivered through collaborative Minecraft projects and real decision-making scenarios.

Paid once.
