This four-week Minecraft-themed coding club introduces first and second graders to core programming ideas using block-based coding. Minecraft is not required; the teacher uses Minecraft visuals and puzzles to make concepts fun and concrete. Students will work with commands and sequences, practice loops such as repeat patterns, use conditionals to make decisions, learn basic debugging strategies, and explore event triggers and simple game mechanics. Each lesson mixes short demos, guided practice, and creative time. Typical session flow is Intro (10 to 15 minutes) for a live demonstration and concept check, Practice (20 to 25 minutes) for guided coding challenges, and Create & Share (15 to 20 minutes) for independent building and presentation. Over four meetings students progress from understanding single commands to automating tasks with loops, building a coded structure, and planning a mini-game with event-based rules. Teaching emphasizes hands-on learning, real-time feedback, and playful problem solving. Instructors use interactive puzzles to build logical thinking and encourage creativity. Students get live support during practice, try debugging approaches, and share projects to celebrate progress. The club is designed for beginners in Grades 1 and 2 and focuses on foundational skills that prepare kids for further block-based or visual programming experiences.
