Middle School Creative Writing: Story Craft & Revision

A guided creative writing course that builds core storytelling skills: generating ideas, developing characters and settings, structuring plots, writing dialogue, and revising work. Classes use short prompts and focused mini-lessons to practice writing, with guided discussion, in-class work, and opportunities to share drafts in a welcoming environment.

Materials needed:

Learners will need the following materials for class:

-A notebook or writing journal

-Paper (lined or blank)

-A pencil or pen

-Optional: colored pens or highlighters for editing and creativity

All materials are commonly found at home and no additional purchases are required.

I will provide all lesson materials, including guided prompts and instructional slides, during class. Learners are welcome to type their work if they prefer, but handwriting is encouraged for creativity and focus.
