Class Experience

This course examines how government operates at federal, state, and local levels and how citizens engage with public life. Topics include foundations of democracy, comparative governance and Indigenous traditions, checks and balances, media and transparency, voting and civic roles, policymaking, environmental and local governance, and civil rights. Students produce discussion responses, short assignments, and a culminating civic portfolio.
