Class Experience
A structured ten-week small-group course of weekly 30-minute lessons introducing flute and piccolo basics: embouchure and tone production, instrument assembly and care, hand positioning, fingering charts, first notes, expanding pitch range, basic music reading on the treble clef, and simple rhythms. Lessons include demonstration, guided practice, assignments, and feedback to build a solid beginner foundation.
Learning Outcomes
Develop a consistent embouchure and rounded tone on the flute
Assemble, hold, and care for the flute or piccolo properly
Read fingering charts and play basic notes on the instrument
Read simple music on the treble clef and perform basic rhythms and time signatures
