Class Experience
A four‑session beginner course that teaches flute assembly and care, posture and hand position, tone production, basic tonguing and breathing, and the first beginner notes (C, B, A, G, F). Lessons prioritize practical playing time and expect regular personal practice between sessions.
Learning Outcomes
Assemble and handle the flute safely and produce a clear tone using correct breath and tonguing.
Play the basic beginner notes commonly used in first‑year band (C, B, A, G, F).
Identify basic music notation and beat values and perform simple beginner pieces.
Prerequisites
Students must have access to a flute at home for the classes and to do private practice on.
