Learning Outcomes

• Keep a steady beat using movement, body percussion, singing, and simple percussion instruments.

• Explore and reproduce rhythm patterns through echo activities, word rhythms, and drum playing.

• Sing expressively and use beginning solfège patterns (e.g., sol-mi, do-re-mi) when developmentally appropriate.

• Respond to music through movement, discussion, drawing, and simple musical vocabulary, and experience songs from different cultures.

• Create and organize short sound stories or musical ideas and rehearse them for presentation.
