This 12-class summer camp helps learners who have completed Grade 1 review essential skills and transition confidently into Grade 2. Lessons strengthen number sense, addition and subtraction fluency, and place value using teacher-led instruction, visual models, guided practice, and hands-on games. Students will practice counting to 120, work with tens and ones, compare numbers and identify patterns, and begin early multiplication thinking with skip counting. The course applies math to real situations through one-step word problems and activities with measurement, time (hour and half-hour), and counting simple coin amounts. Geometry work focuses on identifying and describing common 2D and 3D shapes, and data lessons introduce picture graphs and simple charts. Each class mixes direct teaching, collaborative discussion, interactive games, and practice problems that encourage students to explain their thinking and use strategies. Worksheets and manipulatives support learning; activities are paced to build confidence and prevent summer learning loss. This camp is ideal for families who want a focused, friendly review of Grade 1 topics while preparing learners for the expectations of Grade 2.

Paid once.
