Classes emphasize technical precision, visual realism, and creative problem solving while students design and execute character looks.
Create intermediate Special FX makeup using silicone, latex, and prosthetic techniques
Design and execute original character and creature makeup looks
Apply elements of form, texture, dimension, and realism to FX work
Construct and experiment with 3D prosthetic effects to add depth and transformation
Refine and evaluate FX through observation, adjustment, and instructor feedback

This class is suitable for students who have completed a beginner FX class or have some hands-on FX makeup experience.
Materials needed:
There are some starter supplies from the Beginner Level 1 SFX Course that are used in this course as well, you may have left over.
Level 2 kit includes 2-part modeling silicone and acrylic board (plus scar wax, liquid latex, fake blood, tools, color wheel) (see supplies for link)
Liquid latex (a larger amount)
Fake blood
Eyeshadow palette that has a reddish color, black/dark grey, purple
Make up brushes
Toothpick
Foundation makeup (close match to skin)
Powder (Face powder, cornstarch or setting powder)
Cosmetic sponge
Small scissors
Toilet tissue
Rubbing alcohol
Petroleum jelly (like vasoline)
Cornstarch
Baby wipes or makeup remover wipes
Hair dryer (if you want to speed up drying)
