This beginner-friendly course teaches students how markets function, how investors evaluate risk, and how portfolios are built. Over the semester learners practice evaluating companies and managing an educational practice portfolio, study dividends, risk metrics, market influences, and behavioral finance, and complete applied portfolio reviews to form disciplined, long-term investing habits.

We will use financial sites Yahoo Finance and FinViz for business news and financial data during class.
Students will use Investopedia for the simulation component of the class. An account is required for this element.
