Class Experience

This four-lesson beginner piano camp covers sightreading and play-along practice for four Christmas pop songs (Deck the Halls, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Santa Tell Me, All I Want for Christmas Is You). Lessons focus on basic rhythm notation, hand position (C/G positions), repeats and endings, and changing hand positions; teacher-arranged sheet music for these arrangements is sold off-platform.

Learning Outcomes

  • Play four specified Christmas pop songs on piano

  • Apply basic rhythmic notation and counting

  • Sightread simple notation with both hands

  • Use basic hand positions and navigate simple repeats/endings

Prerequisites

Students in this course should be familiar with the letter names of the white keys and with their finger numbers. Consider attending Crash Course A.

Materials needed:

Sheet music for the public domain Christmas carol, Deck the Halls, will be provided upon enrollment.
