Class Experience

Live group piano classes based on Alfred’s Premier Piano Course Level 1A that build keyboard familiarity, music alphabet knowledge, basic rhythms (quarter, half, whole notes and rests), bar lines, and introductory treble and bass clef reading. Sessions include review, teacher demonstrations, hands-on playing, short one‑on‑one breakout feedback, and group practice to develop steady rhythm, correct hand position, and confidence performing simple pieces.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify black and white key groups and locate notes using keyboard geography and finger numbers

  • Read and play simple rhythms using quarter, half, whole notes and recognize rests, bar lines, and measures

  • Name and recognize the musical alphabet ascending and descending

  • Read and play notes in treble and bass clefs

  • Perform simple pieces with steady rhythm and correct hand position
