Grade 5 Math: Foundations in Fractions, Factors & Decimals

This course covered multi-digit multiplication and long division in focused sessions that fit our busy schedule, and the guided practice was useful. My only mild caveat is that sometimes there wasn't quite enough time at the end for extra questions or deeper practice on one tricky problem — an optional extra worksheet would help.

Atom Camp: Intro to Atoms & the Periodic Table (1–54)

Really comprehensive for a one-week camp: drawing Bohr models, electron shells, ionic and covalent bonding, and learning about elements 1–54. The printable flash cards and visual periodic table were great takeaways for review at home. My 10-year-old stayed engaged throughout the four lessons.

Cartoon Character Drawing: Imagination, Expression and Simplification

Detailed, fun, and well-paced for an elementary-aged child. Over the 8 weeks my kid learned to exaggerate features and make characters that actually show emotion, which was my main goal.

Introduction to Public Speaking: Impromptu, Informative, Persuasive

Overall very positive; the only drawback was that we would have liked short take-home tips between the one weekly lesson to reinforce learning.

Summer Writing Practice: Sentences and Small Stories

This course strengthened my child's sentence-writing and expanded their word choices. The editing checklist was a helpful tool they still use.

  Focus & Calm: Neuroscience-Based Attention and Self-Regulation

Very informative and engaging, but I wished there were optional extension activities for kids who wanted more than the weekly 40-minute lesson.
