  Grade 5 ELA: Full Grammar, Writing, and Research Curriculum

  I like that the course lays out sentence structure, verb tense, parts of speech, punctuation, and figurative language in clear units, then applies those skills in narrative, informational, and opinion writing projects. The inclusion of short research practice with note-taking and simple bibliographies, plus a portfolio of student pieces, makes the scope easy to understand. The 45-minute sessions twice a week seem manageable and the variety of activities—games, guided practice, and workshops—keeps the lessons varied.

  World History: The Great War (World War I)

  Overall a solid World History class with good coverage of the war's end and treaties, but I wished there were more than one lesson per week to reinforce the material. Still, the 55-minute lessons were focused.

  Science of Stress and Calm: Brain-Based Coping Skills

  Very good content but my child found 55 minutes a bit long sometimes; still gained valuable coping tools.

  Karate: Brown Belt Level Five

  Our 13-year-old has been excited for each session — the advanced kicking and Kanku-Dai kata work are exactly what we were looking for in this level. Two 45-minute lessons a week over five weeks is a great pace.

  4th Grade Readiness: 3rd Grade Review

  Nice balance of reading comprehension, essay writing, and arithmetic practice. Three lessons a week for four weeks felt manageable and focused.

  Moon Scale Model Project: How Far Away Is the Moon?

  Clear instructions for building the moon model and easy-to-follow pre-recorded lessons. We appreciated that it only required one lesson per week for two weeks.
