An eight-week 3D modeling course where learners design and build cars, boats and planes in Roblox Studio. They focus on shape, proportion and detail and finish with a vehicle showroom.

Paid once.
Vehicles are some of the most exciting objects to design in 3D. In this eight-week course learners model their own fleet of cars, boats and planes in Roblox Studio, focusing on design rather than coding.
Learners begin by studying real vehicles and looking at how designers use shape and proportion to make a car look fast, a truck look strong or a boat look sleek. They sketch side views and then build a race car in Studio, using parts, wedges and unions to shape the body, wheels, windows and spoiler. Next they build a boat with a curved hull and deck details, followed by a small plane with wings, tail and propeller.
In the second half of the course learners design a vehicle of their own invention, such as a flying taxi or an underwater explorer, combining ideas from earlier builds. They learn how to group and name parts neatly, add textures and decals for racing stripes or logos of their own design, and create color variations.
The course ends with a vehicle showroom where learners display their fleet on turntables and explain their design decisions. The teacher gives feedback on proportion, detail and style throughout.
No coding is required, though learners who already code can make vehicles drivable as an extension. Basic Roblox Studio skills are helpful.
Each class starts with a design study and modeling demo. Learners build a new vehicle or improve an existing one, then share it for feedback.
