The ML Workflow and Data with pandas
Learners frame a machine learning problem, load and explore a real dataset and clean messy data with pandas.

An eight-week advanced course where teens aged 14–17 build complete machine learning projects in Python, from regression and random forests to neural networks for images and text. Each week adds a new technique, and learners finish with a capstone project they present to the group.

Paid once.
This course is built for teens who can already write Python and want to understand machine learning properly, not just call a library and hope for the best. Over eight weeks, learners work through the full machine learning workflow: framing a problem, preparing data, choosing and training models, evaluating them honestly and communicating results.
The first half focuses on classic machine learning with pandas and scikit-learn. Learners explore and clean real datasets, build regression models to predict numbers, and train decision trees and random forests to classify data. They learn why models overfit, how cross-validation and train-test splits protect against it, and how to tune hyperparameters with care.
The second half moves into deep learning with Keras. Learners build a neural network from scratch, train a convolutional network to recognise images and try simple text classification. Throughout, the teacher explains the maths intuitively with diagrams, so learners understand what is happening inside each model without needing calculus.
In the final weeks, each learner chooses a dataset and builds a capstone project, then presents their approach, results and limitations to the group. They leave with a portfolio-ready notebook and the confidence to tackle new machine learning problems on their own.
Each 75-minute class combines a short concept explanation, live coding in Google Colab and an extended hands-on challenge with teacher support. Optional practice notebooks are shared after each class for learners who want extra work.
Apply the full machine learning workflow from data to results
Clean and explore data with pandas
Train and compare regression, tree-based and neural network models
Detect and reduce overfitting with proper evaluation
Build image and text classifiers with Keras
Present a machine learning project clearly and honestly
Learners should be confident with Python (functions, loops, lists and dictionaries) and comfortable with algebra. Prior exposure to pandas helps but is not required. A free Google account is needed for Colab.
Computer with a modern browser; a free Google account for Google Colab; notebook and pen for sketching model ideas and notes.
A step-by-step plan of what your child learns, class by class. · 8 Weeks
Learners frame a machine learning problem, load and explore a real dataset and clean messy data with pandas.
Learners predict numbers with linear regression and measure error with appropriate metrics.
Learners train decision trees and random forests to classify data and interpret a confusion matrix.
Learners train a convolutional neural network to classify images and inspect what it gets wrong.
Learners turn text into numerical features and build a simple text classifier.
Learners finish an independent machine learning project and present their approach, results and limitations.

It suits teens aged 14 to 17 who already write Python confidently and are comfortable with algebra. Learners new to Python should take a beginner course first.
No. The teacher explains the maths behind each model with diagrams and intuition, and algebra is enough to follow along.
Nothing needs to be installed. All coding happens in Google Colab in the browser, which only needs a free Google account.
Each class's notebook is shared afterwards, so learners can work through the missed material before the next session. Because weeks build on each other, catching up before the next class is recommended.
Learners finish with a capstone machine learning project in a portfolio-ready notebook and a short presentation of their results. They also keep all the weekly notebooks they built.
