A four-week course where learners plan game logic with flowcharts and pseudocode before coding in Roblox Studio. They practice decomposition, patterns and algorithms with mini projects.

Paid once.
Great coders think before they type. In this four-week course learners practice computational thinking, the problem-solving skills behind all programming, and use them to plan and build Roblox mini games.
In week one learners explore decomposition, breaking a big game idea like a treasure hunt into small, manageable parts. They make a checklist of every piece the game needs. Week two introduces flowcharts. Learners draw flowcharts for simple game rules, such as what happens when a player touches a coin or falls into lava, using start, decision and action shapes. In week three they write pseudocode, plain-language steps that describe what the code should do, and then translate it into short Lua scripts with the teacher's help. The final week brings everything together. Learners plan a mini game from idea to flowchart to code and present how their plan guided their build.
Throughout the course learners also look for patterns, noticing when the same steps repeat and could become a loop or function. The teacher models thinking aloud and shows how planning saves time and reduces bugs.
By the end learners will know how to break problems down, plan logic visually and turn a plan into working code. The course suits learners with a little Roblox Studio experience.
Each class introduces one thinking skill with examples. Learners plan on paper or a whiteboard tool, then build a small piece in Roblox Studio.
Week 1: Decomposition – Break a game idea into a checklist of parts.
Week 2: Flowcharts – Draw game rules with decision shapes.
Week 3: Pseudocode to Lua – Write plain steps and turn them into code.
Week 4: Plan and Build – Take a mini game from idea to working code.
Break a game idea into smaller parts
Draw flowcharts for game rules
Write pseudocode before coding
Spot patterns that can become loops
Turn a plan into a working Lua script
Basic Roblox Studio navigation. No prior coding needed.
