Grade 2 ELA: Full-Year Reading, Writing & Grammar

Word study topics such as compound words and common irregulars are clearly built into the lessons, and the comprehension strategies (predicting, summarizing) are well integrated. I like the regular guided practice format.

Writers Workshop: Personal Narratives and Small Moments

As a parent I appreciated that the course clearly guided students through generating ideas, rehearsing, drafting, and applying craft techniques to personal narratives. Over the 8-week program my 9-year-old developed stronger storytelling by focusing on small moments as well as bigger scenes, and the 30-minute weekly format kept lessons focused and manageable. The level suited the 6-9 age range and the gradual progression felt natural. I would recommend this workshop to other families looking for a structured, skills-focused writing experience.
