Class Experience
Prehistoric oceans were home to giant reptiles like plesiosaurs and mosasaurs. In this course kids learn about these sea monsters and the science of how things float and sink.
They run buoyancy experiments, design floating creatures and explain how real sea animals stay afloat.
How classes work
Each week starts with a short live demo of the new idea, followed by guided practice while the teacher checks in with every learner. Classes end with a small challenge to try before next time.
What we'll cover
Week 1: Sea Monsters – Meet plesiosaurs, mosasaurs and ichthyosaurs.
Week 2: Float or Sink – Test which objects float or sink and why.
Week 3: Density – Explore density with salt water experiments.
Week 4: Design a Swimmer – Design and test a floating sea monster model.
