Class Experience
After the dinosaurs came the Ice Age giants: woolly mammoths, saber-toothed cats and giant sloths. In this course kids explore Ice Age animals and the fossils that tell their stories.
They learn how scientists study ancient ice and fossils and investigate why many of these animals went extinct.
How classes work
Each week starts with a short live demo of the new idea, followed by guided practice while the teacher checks in with every learner. Classes end with a small challenge to try before next time.
What we'll cover
Week 1: Ice Age World – Explore the Ice Age climate and landscape.
Week 2: Mammoths – Investigate woolly mammoth fossils and adaptations.
Week 3: Predators – Study saber-toothed cats and dire wolves.
Week 4: Extinction – Investigate theories about Ice Age extinctions.
