Roblox Party Game: Code Quick Mini-Rounds for Friends

Party games are all about quick, silly fun with friends. In this eight-week course learners code their own multiplayer party game in Roblox Studio with a lobby and several fast mini-games.

Learners start by planning a party game show theme and building a colorful lobby where players wait. They code a round system that picks a random mini-game, teleports players to it and returns them to the lobby when the round ends. Next they build their first mini-game, a color floor where tiles disappear unless players stand on the called color.

Over the following weeks learners add more mini-games, such as a hot potato round where a glowing ball must be passed before the timer ends, a quick race to a finish flag, a jump rope challenge and a memory pattern game. For each mini-game they code the rules, a winner check and points. Learners add a scoreboard that tracks points across rounds and crowns an overall champion.

In the final weeks learners polish their game with music, announcements and confetti, then host a class party night where everyone plays together. The teacher explains each system with live coding and encourages fun, inclusive game design.

By the end learners will have a multiplayer party game with several mini-games. Basic Lua knowledge is helpful.

Each class introduces one system or mini-game with live coding. Learners build it into their party game and test with classmates.

• Week 8: Party Night – Polish and play together as a class.
