Roblox Fantasy Castle: Medieval Building and Terrain

Castles are full of fascinating design details, from tall towers to secret passages. In this eight-week course learners design and build their own fantasy castle and the land around it in Roblox Studio.

Learners begin by studying real medieval castles and fantasy castles from stories, looking at features like walls, towers, gates and keeps. They sketch a castle plan and use terrain tools to shape a hill, a river and a surrounding forest. Next they build the castle walls with battlements, then round and square towers using repeated parts and unions.

Over the following weeks learners build a gatehouse with a drawbridge, a great hall with a throne and banners, and a courtyard with a well and stables. They add a moat and a small village with cottages, a market and a blacksmith. Learners also explore how to use stone, wood and slate materials for a realistic look and how lighting and torches create atmosphere at night.

In the final week learners add a hidden room or secret passage and lead a castle tour, explaining how each part of the castle helped people live and stay safe. The teacher demonstrates each building technique and shares interesting history along the way.

No coding is required. Basic Roblox Studio skills are helpful.

How classes work

Each class combines a short history or design idea with a building demo. Learners add a new section to their castle each week.
