Learners outline a show idea, write a hook and sign-off, warm up their voices, then record a two-to-three-minute episode on their own device.

Learners plan, script and record a two-to-three-minute mini podcast episode on a topic they choose, learning how to hook listeners, speak clearly into a microphone and finish with a strong sign-off, all in one 50-minute class.

In this hands-on class, learners discover how a short podcast episode works, from the catchy show name and opening hook to the main story and the closing sign-off. Each learner picks a topic they care about, such as a favourite book, a strange animal fact or a school-day tip, and builds a simple episode outline.
Next, they turn the outline into a short script, practise vocal energy, pacing and pausing, and test their voice with a phone or computer voice recorder. By the end, every learner has a finished audio episode of two to three minutes and can play a short clip for the class to get friendly feedback.
This is a single 50-minute live class. The teacher plays a short example intro, then guides learners through outlining, scripting and voice warm-ups. Learners capture their episode on their own device during quiet work time, and the class ends with volunteers sharing clips and trading feedback.

No experience needed. Learners should be able to read and write short sentences. They need a computer or tablet, a phone or computer voice recorder, paper and a pencil, plus a quiet spot to speak.
Learners use paper and pencil to outline and script their episode, and headphones help them listen back to their voice clearly.

No experience is needed. The class starts from the basics of what makes a podcast episode work. Your child should be able to read and write short sentences, and the teacher walks them through outlining, scripting and recording step by step.
Any free phone or computer voice recorder will do, along with the computer or tablet used for class. Please check before class that the recorder works and that your child knows how to start and stop it. Headphones are helpful but optional.
Your child will finish with a two-to-three-minute audio episode on a topic they chose, saved on your own device. They will also have their written outline and script, plus practical tips on pace, volume and pauses they can use for future episodes.
The class is one 50-minute session with clear stages. Learners outline first, then script, then warm up their voices, and finally capture their episode during quiet work time. The last part is for sharing short clips and giving friendly feedback. Episodes are kept short so everyone can finish.
No. The episode is saved on your own device and is yours to share with family as you choose. Nothing is published publicly by the class, and learners are reminded not to include personal details such as their full name, school or address.
Ages 9 to 13 are a flexible guide. A younger learner may fit well if they can read and write short sentences and work fairly independently on a device for a few minutes. Learners just above the range are welcome on the same basis.
You can cancel from the class in the parent dashboard. A class that has not yet started is refunded, while a class that has already started counts as used. Refunds go to store credit or the original payment method. If your child misses the class because of illness or an emergency, contact support, who review each case.
There is no homework, and no certificate is given. Everything is completed during the live class. If your child enjoys it, they can use the same outline method to make more episodes at home, but that is entirely optional.
