Tall Towers
Children build the tallest tower they can for a teddy lookout and discover why a wide base helps it stand.

A two-week hands-on building workshop where children aged 3–5 stack towers, test shapes and build bridges strong enough to carry a toy car. Short 25-minute classes turn block play into early engineering and problem solving.

Paid once.
Young children are natural builders, and this workshop shows them they are already thinking like engineers. Over four short live classes, learners use the blocks they have at home plus a few household items to build, test and improve simple structures.
Each class begins with a friendly building challenge told as a little story: a teddy needs a tall lookout tower, a toy car needs to cross a river, or a stuffed animal needs a house that will not fall down. Children try a first build, test it with a gentle push or a toy, and then talk about what happened. Did it wobble? Which shape was strongest? What could we change? These small cycles of try, test and fix are the heart of engineering, and they also build patience and fine motor control.
The teacher builds alongside the children on camera, using simple words such as base, tall, wide, strong and balance. Every attempt is celebrated, and falling towers are treated as funny clues rather than failures. Children hold their builds up to the camera to share, and grown-ups can help with setup and cleanup.
By the final class, learners combine everything they have tried into a small block town for a toy friend, complete with a tower, a wall and a bridge, and give a short show-and-tell about their favourite part.
Classes meet twice a week for two weeks. Each 25-minute session has a story challenge, a build-and-test time with teacher help and a quick show-and-tell. Any building blocks work, including wooden blocks, plastic bricks or cardboard boxes.
Build towers, walls and bridges from blocks
Use simple words such as base, balance and strong
Test a build and change it to make it better
Compare which shapes hold up best
Explain their build in a short show-and-tell
No experience needed. A grown-up should help gather materials and set up the camera so the build area is visible.
Any building blocks (wooden blocks, plastic bricks or small boxes); a sheet of blue or plain paper for the river; a small toy car; a small stuffed animal or figure; tape.

Learners test squares and triangles and build a wall that survives a gentle push.
Children span a paper river between two block piles and test their bridge with a toy car, then fix weak spots.
Learners combine a tower, wall and bridge into a mini block town and share their favourite part at show-and-tell.

Any blocks work: wooden blocks, plastic bricks, cardboard boxes or a mix. You will also need a sheet of paper, a small toy car and a stuffed animal or figure.
A grown-up should help set up materials and position the camera so the building area is visible. During class, children build on their own while the teacher guides them.
That is part of the fun and part of engineering. The teacher treats falling builds as clues and helps children try a wider base or a different shape.
Each class has its own story challenge, so children can join the next one without falling behind. You can ask the teacher for the missed challenge to try at home.
In the final class, children build a small block town for a toy friend with a tower, a wall and a bridge. They share it in a show-and-tell and can keep playing with it afterwards.
This teaching team is passionate about bringing imagination to life through fun, engaging STEAM topics that spark curiosity in young learners. Experience spans preschool through middle elementary ages, with carefully designed activities that introduce colors, numbers, shapes, obs…
