1-on-1 Pre-Algebra Tutor: Get Ahead

Pre-algebra is the bridge to all higher math. This private course helps kids get ahead by mastering integers, expressions and equations before they meet them at school.

How classes work

Every session is private and paced to the learner. The teacher starts by checking where the learner is, adjusts the plan to their goals and gives detailed feedback in every class.

What we'll cover

• Session 1: Integers – Add, subtract, multiply and divide positive and negative numbers.

• Session 2: Order of Operations – Use the order of operations to simplify expressions.

• Session 3: Expressions – Write and simplify algebraic expressions with variables.

• Session 4: One-Step Equations – Solve one-step equations using inverse operations.

• Session 5: Two-Step Equations – Solve two-step equations and check the answers.

• Session 6: Ratios – Understand ratios and unit rates with real examples.

• Session 7: Proportions – Solve proportions and percent problems.

• Session 8: Challenge Review – Review everything with a set of challenge problems.

Some prior experience is helpful. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
