Sports Arcade Game Design with Scratch

My 10-year-old loved this intensive Scratch course. Building an infinite jumper, archery, hockey and basketball game kept him motivated the whole week, and he picked up concepts like conditionals, cloning and scorekeeping along the way. The five lessons, each 115 minutes, felt focused and productive rather than busywork. I appreciated that it was aimed at ages 7–11 and left him excited to try more coding projects.

Design and Code a Roblox Racing Game

Overall a very positive experience — the course covers building tracks, checkpoints, scripting with Lua and publishing the final game, which kept my 13-year-old engaged. The 115-minute lesson length allowed for deep work, but with only one week there wasn’t much time to polish or explore extras after the core features were finished.

Sports Arcade Game Design with Scratch

Impressed with the hands-on format: by the end of five 115-minute lessons in one week my 7-year-old had four sports-style games to show off. The lessons clearly teach core programming ideas like loops and collision detection in a way that's fun and tangible. Very happy with the balance of challenge and creativity.

Design and Code a Roblox Racing Game

Great hands-on introduction to designing and scripting a Roblox racing game; my 10-year-old enjoyed creating cars and setting up timers and leaderboards. The only minor drawback was the fast pace of the five lessons in one week — a bit intense at times for a beginner.
