  English Word Roots and Origins

I signed my 11-year-old up for this 3-week course on English word roots. They liked learning about Germanic, Latin and Greek roots and said it helped them make sense of some science vocabulary, and the single 55-minute lesson each week fit our schedule. That said, the sessions sometimes felt a bit dense for one weekly meeting, and we would have appreciated a little more time for review or practice between lessons.

Chemistry Foundations and Reactions: Grades 6-8

As a parent I like that this 16-lesson middle school course clearly maps out topics from matter and atoms through reactions and acids/bases, and the 45-minute lesson length with one weekly meeting feels manageable; I would have liked a few more practice problems for balancing equations to reinforce learning.
