Heritage Speakers Culture Club

Heritage Speakers Culture Club celebrates the cultures behind the Spanish kids speak at home. Each week explores one theme, such as food, holidays or music, across different Spanish-speaking countries.

Kids share family traditions and create a small project in Spanish each week, building pride, vocabulary and writing skills alongside friends with similar backgrounds.

How classes work

Each weekly session opens with a quick warm-up and a short new idea, then learners work on the session's challenge together while the teacher guides the group. Sessions end with time to share. New learners can join any week because each session stands on its own.

What we'll cover

• Session theme 1: Family Foods – Share a family recipe and write its ingredients and steps in Spanish.

• Session theme 2: Holidays – Compare holiday traditions across Spanish-speaking countries.

• Session theme 3: Music and Dance – Explore music styles from Mexico to Argentina and write about a favorite.

• Session theme 4: My Heritage Poster – Create and present a poster about your family's heritage.

Some prior experience is helpful. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
