Very positive experience — clear focus on geology basics and practical activities made it easy for my 8-year-old to stay interested through the whole five-week course.

This was a fantastic, age-appropriate introduction to rocks, minerals and crystals — the lessons on quartz and other stones sparked my 10-year-old's curiosity. The format of one 60-minute lesson per week over five weeks worked well with our schedule and gave them time to build a small collection and decorate a rock garden between sessions. Their enthusiasm for checking out different specimens and talking about what they learned each week was great to see. I'd recommend it to families looking for a relaxed but engaging geology introduction.

We appreciated the hands-on ideas like decorating a rock garden and sharing finds with others; it kept my child engaged during the one lesson per week. The 60-minute sessions were a good length for attention span. At times the material felt a touch basic for an almost 11-year-old.

The class covered cool topics like quartz and precious stones and my 8-year-old had fun starting a rock collection. I would have liked a slightly faster pace for the older kids in the 8–11 range.
