  We signed up because of the playful format and weren’t disappointed. The puppet characters and movement games sparked my little one’s imagination, and the turn-taking activities gave us nice, low-pressure practice with group play.

  STEM Engineering Lab for Ages 7-11: Build and Test Projects

  Invented example: The course content is solid and the projects are fun, but some of the science explanations felt a bit advanced for younger 7-year-olds. The 45-minute weekly meeting sometimes didn’t leave enough time to iterate. With a slightly slower pace or split activities, this would be a better fit for the lower end of the age range.

  How Things Work: Hands-On Science Explorations

  We appreciated the bite-sized lessons and visuals; the discussion and hands-on parts made topics like dinosaurs and weather accessible. I do wish there were two lessons per week, as one session sometimes felt too spaced out to retain all the details.
