Ensemble Building and Script Reveal
The company plays trust and focus games, then reads the play together for the first time and discusses its story and themes.

A ten-week advanced theater ensemble that takes teens from first read-through to a full online performance of a short play. Learners audition, analyse characters, block scenes and take on scene-leader roles while building a tight, supportive company.

Paid once.
This ten-week ensemble runs from the middle of winter into early spring and works like a real youth theater company. Experienced young actors rehearse and perform a short play together, taking ownership of their characters, their scenes and the success of the whole production.
The term opens with ensemble games and a read-through of the script, followed by auditions and casting. Learners then dig into character analysis, defining objectives, obstacles and relationships, before blocking each act for an online stage. Mid-term sessions focus on voice, projection and diction, and on getting fully off-book.
Because this is an advanced ensemble, leadership is built into the process. In week eight, learners take turns as student directors and scene leaders, running a warm-up, giving notes to peers and solving staging problems as a team. The teacher coaches them on giving clear, kind feedback and keeping rehearsals focused.
The final weeks bring technical and dress rehearsals, with simple costumes, props and backgrounds, before a live online performance for families. The last class ends with a cast reflection where each actor shares what they learned about their character, their castmates and themselves.
Learners leave with a full production behind them, stronger stage skills and real experience leading and supporting a creative team.
Each 75-minute rehearsal opens with an ensemble warm-up, moves into focused scene work with direction and notes, and ends with a short reflection and goals for next week. Learners rehearse lines between classes.

This is an advanced ensemble for teens aged 10 to 15 with prior acting, drama club or school play experience. Beginners may enjoy an introductory acting class first before joining a full production.
Learners need to rehearse and memorize their lines between classes, usually 15 to 30 minutes a few times a week. Larger roles will need a bit more practice time.
Please let the teacher know in advance when possible. The teacher shares blocking notes and rehearsal goals so your child can catch up, and scenes are rotated so one absence does not hold up the company.
