An eight-week physics course for grades 4-6 using Roblox Studio as a virtual lab. Learners test gravity, friction, mass and pushes and pulls with ramps, carts and launchers they build themselves.

Paid once.
Roblox Studio has a real physics engine, which makes it a perfect virtual lab for exploring forces and motion. In this eight-week course learners in grades 4 to 6 design experiments, make predictions and test them in worlds they build.
The course begins with pushes and pulls. Learners build simple carts and apply forces to see how objects start, stop and change direction. Next they explore gravity by dropping objects of different sizes and changing the world's gravity setting to compare Earth with the Moon. Learners then investigate friction by racing blocks down ramps covered in ice, wood and grass materials and recording which slides fastest.
In the second half of the course learners study mass and motion by changing the density of parts and observing how heavy and light objects behave in collisions. They build launchers and catapults to explore angles and distance, then design a final ramp challenge that uses everything they have learned.
Each class follows the scientific method. Learners ask a question, predict an answer, run a fair test by changing one variable, record results in a simple table and explain what happened. The teacher connects each experiment to real-world examples such as playground slides and sports.
By the end learners will understand key ideas about forces and motion and have a lab world full of their own experiments. No coding experience is required.
Each class starts with a science question and a short explanation. Learners build and run an experiment in Roblox Studio, record results and discuss what they discovered.
Week 1: Pushes and Pulls – Build carts and apply forces to start, stop and turn them.
Week 2: Gravity – Drop objects and compare Earth and Moon gravity settings.
Week 3: Friction – Race blocks down ramps with different surface materials.
Week 4: Fair Tests – Change one variable and record results in a table.
Week 5: Mass and Collisions – Change density and observe heavy and light collisions.
Week 6: Launchers and Angles – Build launchers and test how angle changes distance.
Week 7: Real-World Physics – Connect experiments to slides, sports and vehicles.
Week 8: Ramp Challenge – Design a final ramp challenge using all forces learned.
Explain how pushes and pulls change an object's motion
Compare gravity on Earth and the Moon with experiments
Test how surfaces change friction
Investigate how mass affects collisions and launches
Use the scientific method to run fair tests
No coding or physics background needed. Learners should be able to move and resize parts in Roblox Studio.
