A four-week engineering course where learners design, build and test bridges in Roblox Studio. They explore beams, arches and trusses and use physics tests to see which designs hold the most weight.

Paid once.
Engineers design structures that are strong, safe and efficient. In this four-week course learners become bridge engineers, using Roblox Studio's physics to design and test their own bridges.
In week one learners explore why bridges matter and look at real examples of beam, arch and suspension bridges. They build a simple beam bridge across a canyon and test it by dropping heavy blocks onto it. Week two introduces arches and trusses, where learners discover how triangles and curves spread weight. They rebuild their bridge using these shapes and compare results. In week three learners follow the engineering design process. They define a challenge, such as crossing a wide river with limited parts, sketch ideas, build a prototype and test it with increasing loads. Week four is the final bridge challenge, where learners improve their design and present it to the class.
Throughout the course learners use constraints in Roblox Studio to connect parts and see how structures behave under stress. They record how much weight each design holds and discuss why some fail. The teacher emphasizes that failure is part of engineering and helps learners improve with each test.
By the end learners will understand basic structural shapes and the engineering design process. No coding experience is required, though basic Roblox Studio skills help.
Each class introduces an engineering idea, then learners build and test a bridge design. Results are compared as a group and used to improve the next version.
Week 1: Beam Bridges – Build and load-test a simple beam bridge.
Week 2: Arches and Trusses – Use triangles and arches to spread weight.
Week 3: Engineering Design Process – Define, sketch, build and test a prototype.
Week 4: Final Bridge Challenge – Improve the design and present test results.
Compare beam arch truss and suspension bridges
Explain how triangles and arches spread weight
Follow the engineering design process
Test designs and record results
Improve a design based on test failures
Basic Roblox Studio skills such as moving, resizing and anchoring parts. No coding needed.
