Mazes with Dead Ends and Detours
Learners study maze tricks like loops and false paths, then draw their own maze with a start, finish and one true route.

Kids design and draw their own mazes, grid logic puzzles, number riddles and secret-code challenges, then trade them for testing and finish the week with a complete puzzle booklet.

In this camp, learners flip from puzzle solver to puzzle maker. They study what makes a maze tricky, how a grid logic puzzle has exactly one answer, and how a code can be hard to crack yet still fair.
Each day they design a new type of puzzle on paper, from winding mazes with dead ends to clue-based logic grids and cipher messages. Friends test each other's creations and suggest fixes. By the final day every learner assembles a small booklet of original puzzles with a cover and answer page to share at home.
The camp runs as four back-to-back daily sessions in one week. Each day introduces one puzzle type, gives time to design and test it in class, and adds the finished puzzle to a growing booklet presented on the last day.
Design a maze with one clear solution path
Write clues for a logic grid with a single answer
Create and decode a simple cipher message
Playtest a puzzle and improve it from feedback
Assemble a booklet of original puzzles with an answer key
No experience needed. Learners should be comfortable reading short clues and drawing on paper. A computer or tablet with camera, paper, pencils and a ruler are needed.
Paper, pencils and a ruler are for drawing mazes and grids, markers decorate the cover, and a stapler binds the final booklet.

Learners study maze tricks like loops and false paths, then draw their own maze with a start, finish and one true route.
Kids solve a simple logic grid, then write their own clue set and check that it leads to exactly one solution.
Learners try shift and symbol codes, invent their own cipher and write a hidden message for others to crack.
Kids swap puzzles for testing, fix any problems, and present a finished puzzle booklet with a cover and answer key.

No. The camp is for beginners. Learners solve a few examples of each puzzle type before making their own, so they understand how it works before designing one.
A small booklet of their own original puzzles, including a maze, a logic grid and a secret code message, with a decorated cover and an answer page.
Plain paper, pencils with an eraser, a ruler, markers and a stapler. Squared or grid paper is helpful for logic puzzles but not required.
It is a one-week camp with four 45-minute classes on consecutive days. Each day covers a new puzzle type, and the last day is for playtesting and showing the finished booklet.
It may be. The age range is flexible, and a younger child who reads short clues comfortably and enjoys drawing usually manages well, though logic grids may need some extra support.
Testing is built in. Learners swap puzzles with each other, try to solve them, and share what was confusing. Makers then fix dead ends or unclear clues before adding the puzzle to their booklet.
No homework is required, since puzzles are designed and finished in class, though many kids enjoy making extras. No certificate is given for this camp.
A missed class still counts as used. For illness or emergencies, contact support and they will review your case. You can cancel for a full refund any time before the second class starts, from the class in the parent dashboard.
