Mission, Theme and Room Story
Learners study how escape rooms work, choose a theme and write a short mission with a clear goal and final reveal.

Learners design a complete escape room with a storyline, linked puzzles, locks made from codes and clues, and a final reveal, then run it for family as players at home.

Paid once.
In this course, learners think like escape room designers. They pick a theme, such as a missing museum treasure or a stranded space station, and write a short mission that ties every puzzle together.
Over four weeks they design puzzles that lead to one another, including number locks, hidden word clues and pattern challenges, using paper props and everyday objects. They map the flow so players never get stuck for long, plan hints, and test each room with classmates. The finished escape room can be set up at home for family to play.
This is a four-week course with one 50-minute class each week. Each class builds on the last, moving from story to puzzles to flow, and ends with a short task to make or improve props before the next class.
Write a themed mission that links a set of puzzles
Design fair code locks and hidden clue puzzles
Map a puzzle flow so each answer unlocks the next
Plan tiered hints to help stuck players
Playtest a puzzle and revise it using feedback
Learners should have solved a few logic puzzles or riddles and be able to read and write short instructions independently. A computer or tablet with camera, paper, envelopes and markers are needed.
Paper, index cards and envelopes become clue cards and sealed puzzle props, while markers, scissors and tape are used to build them.
A step-by-step plan of what your child learns, class by class. · 4 Weeks
Learners study how escape rooms work, choose a theme and write a short mission with a clear goal and final reveal.
Kids design number and word lock puzzles, hide clues in paper props and make sure every answer is fair to find.
Learners map how each puzzle unlocks the next, spot dead ends, and write a three-step hint for every puzzle.
Kids run part of their room for classmates, gather feedback, polish the flow and present the complete escape room.

Some experience with logic puzzles, riddles or escape-style games is expected. Your child should be able to solve a multi-step puzzle and read and write short clues independently, as the course focuses on designing rather than basic solving.
A complete paper-based escape room with a themed mission, a set of linked puzzles, a flow map, a hint plan and props that can be set up at home for family to play.
No. Puzzles use paper, envelopes, index cards, markers, scissors and tape. Codes and locks are designed on paper, so no padlocks or kits are needed, though families can add household items for fun.
It runs for four weeks with one 50-minute class each week. Each class moves the room forward, from the story to the puzzles, flow and finally a playtest.
Yes. Themes are adventure and mystery based, such as a missing treasure or a locked lab, and stay light and age-appropriate. Learners choose their own theme, so they can keep it as playful as they like.
Yes, about 15 to 20 minutes a week to build or refine props and finish puzzles started in class. No certificate is given; the finished escape room is the result.
The ages are a guide, so a strong 9-year-old may fit if they can read and write clues independently and enjoy multi-step puzzles. The design work asks for patience and planning.
A full refund is given if you cancel before the second class starts. After that, started classes count as used and the rest are refunded to store credit or the original payment method. Cancel from the class in the parent dashboard.
