Drawing & Painting for Children: Line, Color, and Composition

My 8-year-old took this Drawing & Painting for Children class and stayed excited for all 16 lessons. The mix of gesture and contour drawing, pen-and-ink shading, and one-point perspective kept things varied, and the projects—still lifes, portraits, plein-air practice, and copying master works—really helped build confidence with both tonal black-and-white painting and color work. The pacing felt appropriate for ages 7–11; challenging but not overwhelming.
