Consumer Math: Personal Finance Fundamentals (Semester 1)

Highly recommend for teens who need a clear, practical introduction to money topics. The 11-week format with twice-weekly 30-minute lessons made steady progress while keeping sessions short and focused.

Consumer Math Semester 1: Personal Finance and Everyday Calculations

I signed up my 17-year-old for Consumer Math Semester 1 and we're very happy with the practical coverage of payroll, taxes, banking, interest, sales calculations and loans. The two 30-minute lessons per week are easy to fit into a busy schedule, and spreading the material over 19 weeks helped with retention. He seems more confident making everyday financial decisions and talks about what he learned when budgeting or comparing loans. I'd recommend this for teens who need a solid introduction to personal finance.

Consumer Math: Personal Finance Fundamentals (Semester 1)

As a parent, I appreciated the clear focus on personal finance fundamentals like payroll, taxes, banking, budgeting, and interest. My 13-year-old started the class with limited confidence around money math and finished the semester more comfortable making everyday calculations, especially sales tax and shopping math. The lessons are short—just 30 minutes—and meeting twice a week kept the work manageable without feeling rushed. Overall the structure and examples made abstract concepts feel practical and usable.
