World Dance Camp: Latin and Cultural Styles

This four-day camp takes kids on a dance trip around the Latin world. Each day explores a new style, its music and the culture it comes from, with plenty of energetic practice.

On the last day dancers mix the moves they have learned into their own short choreography and perform it for the group, building creativity and confidence as well as rhythm.

How classes work

Camp meets on back-to-back days. Each day builds on the last, mixing short demos, hands-on work and time to share progress, so learners finish the week with a complete project.

What we'll cover

• Day 1: Salsa Day – Learn salsa basics and discover the dance's roots in Cuba and New York.

• Day 2: Samba Day – Learn samba bounce and steps from Brazil's carnival tradition.

• Day 3: Cumbia Day – Learn cumbia steps and the story of the dance in Colombia.

• Day 4: Choreography Day – Create and perform an original routine mixing the week's styles.

Some prior experience is helpful. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
