1-on-1 Latin Dance Competition Coaching

This course prepares experienced dancers for Latin dance competitions with focused, individual coaching. Each session works on one dance or competition skill, with drills and detailed corrections.

Video feedback helps dancers see their progress, and the course ends with a mock competition round so they know exactly what to work on before the real event.

How classes work

Every session is private and paced to the learner. The teacher starts by checking where the learner is, adjusts the plan to their goals and gives detailed feedback in every class.

What we'll cover

• Session 1: Assessment – Review current technique and competition goals.

• Session 2: Cha-Cha – Refine cha-cha timing, chassés and hip action.

• Session 3: Samba – Work on samba bounce, rhythm and travelling figures.

• Session 4: Rumba – Develop rumba walks, body action and expression.

• Session 5: Jive – Build jive kicks, flicks and energy.

• Session 6: Routine – Polish a competition routine from start to finish.

• Session 7: Styling – Add arm styling, lines and presentation for judges.

• Session 8: Mock Competition – Dance a mock round and get detailed feedback.

For dancers with Latin dance experience.
