Design Brief and Fashion Sketching
The learner writes a short design brief, gathers inspiration and sketches a mini collection, then chooses one piece to make.

Six private sessions for experienced young sewists ready to design and construct their own garments. Learners sketch a mini collection, draft and adjust patterns, refine construction and fitting, and build a fashion portfolio.

Paid once.
This private coaching course is for young sewists who can already use a sewing machine and finish simple projects, and who now want to design and make garments that are truly their own. Working one-on-one means every session is built around the learner's ideas, skill level and machine.
The course starts like a real design studio. Learners write a short design brief, gather inspiration and sketch a mini collection of two or three looks on fashion croquis. Together with the coach they choose one piece to make during the course, such as a skirt, tote, top or pajama pants.
Next comes the technical work. Learners learn how to choose fabric, use their tools well and draft or adapt a pattern to their measurements. Construction sessions cover clean seams, darts, gathers, facings and finishes, with the coach watching on camera and troubleshooting in real time. A fitting session focuses on tailoring and the details that make a garment look professional.
Throughout the course learners take the lead on their own creative decisions, explaining their choices and planning their next steps, which builds the independence of a real designer.
In the final session, learners photograph their finished piece and organize sketches, swatches and process photos into a simple fashion portfolio they can keep adding to.
Sessions are scheduled one-on-one, once a week for six weeks, at a time that suits the learner. The coach demonstrates techniques on camera, then watches and guides as the learner sews. Learners continue sewing between sessions.
