My 12-year-old enjoyed units on atomic structure, genetics and astronomy and liked the projects, though I wish the 40-minute lessons were a bit longer so there was more time for discussion.

Our 13-year-old really benefited from this semester course — the mix of physics, chemistry, biology and earth science kept things interesting every week. The slides, videos, lectures, demonstrations and projects are well structured for the 40-minute meetings twice a week, and the interactive assessments plus opportunities to ask questions helped reinforce what she learned. The 9-week, 18-meeting format felt thorough but not overwhelming.
