American Sign Language (ASL) Beginner — Part 2

Good follow-up to the beginner level with clear topics like money, time, and travel. My child stayed engaged, but I would have liked occasional short practice suggestions to reinforce learning between the weekly 55-minute sessions.

American Sign Language (ASL) Beginner — Part 2

As a parent I liked how this Part 2 course builds directly on beginner skills with focused vocabulary (location, actions, seasons) and ongoing review. The role of facial expressions was emphasized in a way my child could understand, and the hands-on signing practice kept them actively participating each 55-minute class. The inclusion of Deaf history and culture added meaningful context, and the pacing felt appropriate for kids aged 5–8. We're seeing steady improvement in simple sentence construction and confidence signing.

American Sign Language (ASL) Beginner — Part 2

We enrolled for the 8-week, once-a-week format to build on basics and the focus on facial expressions and opposites was very useful. My 7-year-old liked practicing money and time vocabulary. Overall helpful, but I would have liked a bit more repetition of fingerspelling between lessons.

American Sign Language (ASL) Beginner — Part 2

I appreciated that the course reviews fingerspelling and simple sentence construction and includes Deaf history and culture. My child enjoyed the lessons on weather and seasons, though sometimes the 55-minute length felt a bit long for our 5-year-old.
