This writing workshop is well-paced for our family — one 45-minute lesson per week over the 30-week program feels manageable and consistent. The combination of creative writing, letter writing and poetry units keeps things varied, while collaborative writing and exercises reinforce editing skills. My child has become more confident drafting and revising short pieces, and the take-home practice helps solidify what was covered in class.

I appreciate that the course cycles monthly through clear topics like parts of speech, verb usage, summaries and paragraph structure. The emphasis on drafting and revision strategies has helped my child think more critically about their writing. It's a nice fit for elementary ELA expectations.

The small-class format and mix of mini-lessons with games really suit my 8-year-old. She looks forward to the one lesson per week and comes home excited to try the take-home practice.

My 9-year-old found the weekly 45-minute class too slow and not challenging enough, although the poetry unit did catch their interest a few times.
